During Art Basel 2023, US galleries are representing Latin American artists such as Tomás Saraceno, Ernesto Neto, Belkis Ayón, Lucas Arruda, Óscar Murillo and Félix González-Torres.

Art Basel 2023 featured over 200 leading galleries and more than 4000 artists, where Latin-American galleries from Colombia, Mexico and Brazil, among other countries, participated.  

Florencia Portocarrero, curator of the NEXT section at Pinta PArC, opens a space for us on her agenda from Lima to talk about her curatorial work this year. He brings us closer to his vision and his way of approaching this task through sensitivity and openness to dialogue with galleries and their emerging artists. As the director of Bisagra, an independent art collective that she directs together with Miguel A. López, and the artists Andres Pereira Paz, Eliana Otta, Iosu Aramburu and Juan Diego Tobalina, she shares with us her desire to "horizontalize" relationships when thinking and to create an exhibition, an attitude that translates into the moment of curating NEXT.

The tenth edition of Pinta PArC ended last Sunday, held at the mythical Casa Prado, in Lima, Perú. An epicenter of artistic identities of the region in which more than 200 artists and cultural institutions participated.

Last two days to visit Pinta PArC, Peru Contemporary Art! In its tenth edition, the renowned fair presents the sections Sculpture Garden, curated by Max Hernandez Calvo and Video Project, curated by Irene Gelfman.

In its tenth edition, Pinta PArC, Peru Contemporary Art presented the Amazonía section, which exhibits renowned artists from native communities and is curated by Gredna Landolt.

Gerardo Mosquera is a Cuban-born art historian, critic, and curator. He is recognized for his contributions to the field of Latin American art and has worked extensively in the international art world.

In this 2023 edition, Pinta PArC –the most important contemporary art fair in Peru– celebrates its 10th anniversary.

In this interview, Gredna Landolt, a Peruvian graphic artist and curator, shares with us her work curating the Amazonías section of Pinta PArC 2023, a section that exhibits renowned native artists.

Pinta PArC, Peru Contemporary Art inaugurated its tenth edition. A unique opportunity to discover and explore contemporary art proposals from around the world and, especially, innovative initiatives from the region.

Chilean gallery NAC exhibits at Pinta PArC the work of artists Diego Santa María, David Scognamiglio and Colomba Fontaine.

The EFG Latin America Art Award ­–together with ArtNexus– presented Jean Terra, from Anita Schwartz Galeria de Arte from Rio de Janeiro (Brazil), as the SP ARTE fair selected artist for its annual acquisition award.

SP–Arte 2023 will feature more than 150 exhibitors and an expansion of the design sector. From March 29 to April 2, the Biennial Pavilion welcomes national and international art galleries, design studios, publishers, cultural institutions and independent spaces.

The 2023 edition of Pinta BAphoto will take place from September 28th to October 1st at La Rural, Pavilion 8, Buenos Aires, Argentina. The deadline for the call for artists and galleries is Friday, March 31, 2023.

The 18th International Architecture Exhibition, titled The Laboratory of the Future, will be open to the public from Saturday May 20 to Sunday November 26, 2023 at the Giardini and the Arsenale, and at Forte Marghera; it will be curated by Lesley Lokko and organised by La Biennale di Venezia.

ARCOmadrid ended its 2023 edition with a strong presence of Latin American galleries and artists, more than 93,000 visitors, and works that move and challenge.

For the 2023 edition of ARCOmadrid, Hache Galería presents a selection of works by Florencia Böhtlingk as part of the program Nunca lo mismo. Latin American Art. It is curated by Mariano Meyer and Manuela Moscoso.

A total of 211 galleries from 36 countries are participating in the Spanish fair from February 22^nd to 26^th. Latin American art is present with 11 galleries.

The 13^th edition of the Mercosul Biennial, anchored in the Trauma, dream and flight tripod and finished last November, had encouraging developments, especially due to the outstanding presence of emerging artists, the strong contact with the public and the resumption of powerful spaces and traditional attractions of the event, such as the Cais do Porto. However, there were problems in the organization of the exhibition, the most serious episode of which was the '(dis)invitation' of names to exhibit works, and a certain frustration with pieces that would have a technological appeal.

The Board of La Biennale di Venezia appointed Adriano Pedrosa as Director of the Visual Arts Sector, with the specific task of curating the 60th International Art Exhibition to be held in 2024 (from April 20^th to November 24^th).

Meridiano, the Argentine Chamber of Art Galleries, closed the year with the great participation of 15 galleries in some of the most important art fairs held in Miami: Art Basel Miami Beach, Pinta, Untitled Art and N.A.D.A.

Pinta Miami concludes the 2022 cultural agenda with more than 14,000 visitors, 48 institutions and 28 cities present. The fair at The Hangar, Coconut Grove led to good sales and a record number of awards. Pinta closes the year with extensive ground covered and is preparing to continue growing on both sides of the Atlantic.

Year after year, Pinta Miami affirms its commitment with the cultural expressions in America and Spain. This year’s Main Section, and the highlighted Design section, serve proof of this mission to offer the global public a panoramic view of what the artists in our region have to show.

Curated by Oscar Roldán-Alzate, Solo-Duo is presented as an alternative to the traditional Solo Projects section, favoring contrasts and expanding the depth of dynamics and coexistence. This reinvention represents Pinta’s commitment with the historic and the contemporary, the young and the established, the local and the global.

Pinta Miami inaugurates today, and within the concepts of change and processes, the Special Projects section presents works by Carlos Medina, Richard Garet, Muu Blanco and Julia Zurilla.

Curated by Florencia Portocarrero, NEXT is a new section at Pinta Miami 2022 that functions as an innovative and inclusive platform that allows the fair's audience to discover the latest and emerging art from Latin America. The curatorial structure is based on dialogue and collaboration between galleries. As a result, in five booths, NEXT brings together ten galleries and twelve artists.

PINTA MIAMI IS COMING TO THE GROVE

Pinta Miami celebrates its sixteenth iteration in The Hangar, the new venue in the artistic community of Coconut Grove. The Fair presents Latin American and Spanish modern and contemporary art at geographical crossroads. During Miami Art Week, new visitors will connect with larger national and global art enthusiasts and collectors in this landmark building of singular distinction.

The EFG Latin America Art Award –in collaboration with ArtNexus– presented the Ch.ACO 2022 selected artist, Rafael Villares, as one of the finalists for the company’s annual acquisition award. The winner will be announced at Pinta Miami this week.

Pinta comes to The Grove! 48 art institutions - 28 cities - 17 countries

The EFG Latin America Art Award, together with ArtNexus, announced Nohemí Pérez, from mor Charpentier (Paris and Bogotá), as the selected artist for the company’s annual acquisition award. The winner will be announced at Pinta Miami during Art Week in the city.
