With the support of the Ministry of Culture of the City of Buenos Aires, on Saturday, September 14, 2024, a new edition of Gallery arrives in the Palermo and Villa Crespo districts, in the city of Buenos Aires, Argentina. Gallery promotes tours through art circuits visiting galleries, museums, artists' studios, museums and foundations.

PROA21 presented the exhibition of interdisciplinary artist Francis Alÿs, curated by Cuauhtémoc Medina, on the emblematic project When Faith Moves Mountains, created in April 2002 for the III Ibero-American Biennial of Lima.

The EFG Latin America Art Award, in partnership with ArtNexus, announced Leila Tschopp of Buenos Aires, Argentina, as arteba's nominated artist for its annual acquisition award. The winning artist will be featured at Pinta Miami 2024.

On Wednesday, August 28, the 33rd edition of arteba, the first art fair founded in Latin America and the most significant in Argentina, began. This year's event features over 400 artists represented by 65 galleries from 16 cities.

The arteba 2024 fair opens its doors to the general public from Friday, August 30 to Sunday, September 1 at the Centro Costa Salguero, Buenos Aires, Argentina. With the goal of serving as a meeting platform, the fair will bring together all those who make up the art ecosystem in Argentina: artists, gallery owners, curators, collectors, professionals and the interested public.

The Malba museum in Buenos Aires, Argentina expands with the construction of Malba Puertos, a new exhibition space in Escobar, province of Buenos Aires. It opens on September 21 and seeks -through activities and exhibitions- to bring art closer to the community.

Rolf Art Gallery presents Arquitectura de la imagen en tiempo real (Real Time Image Architecture) by artist Vivian Galban at the Centro Cultural San Martín. The proposal consists of an interactive installation that creates a large-format camera obscura, where the process of image creation is carried out in real time. Curated by Máximo Jacoby. It was previously exhibited at Rolf Art (2019), BAphoto (2019) and Paris Photo (2023).

The most relevant art fair specialized in photography in Latin America Pinta BAphoto celebrates its twenty years of trajectory between October 24 and 27, 2024. Based in the city of Buenos Aires, it has established itself as an undisputed point of reference for photography.

The Museo Moderno de Buenos Aires inaugurates the exhibition Martín Legón: Solo las piedras recuerdan (Only Stones Remember), in which the artist interrogates the present of human experience and wonders how human beings relate to images, how we construct knowledge, and in what remote place the mark of the human as it is known to the present will remain.

Malba announces the eagerly awaited arrival of Leonora Carrington's The Distractions of Dagoberto (1945), one of the most significant works by the celebrated surrealist artist, which was acquired in May by Eduardo F. Costantini at Sotheby's at a record price.

The Jewish Museum of Buenos Aires | Templo Libertad presented Falta compartida (Shared Absence), an exhibition that took place at the Rolf Gallery in 2019 as part of the commemoration of the 25th anniversary of the attack on the AMIA (Asociación Mutual Israelita Argentina), which itinerates on the occasion of the 30th anniversary, presenting itself as a reflection on the post-memory of recurring traumatic events in Argentine history.

Banco Macro presented El Oro de los sueños (The Gold of Dreams), the exhibition by Andrés Paredes which is part of a new artistic program within its agenda at the Corporate Tower. The program is called Macro Federal, an initiative to present artists from all the provinces of Argentina, starting with Misiones. It is curated by Patricia Rizzo.

Ch'ixifuturismo is the exhibition at Fundación Larivière that presents photographs by Florencia Blanco on Freddy Mamani Silvestri's architecture, in dialogue with works by Narda Alvarado, Tin Ayala, Iván Cáceres, Cristina Collazos, Miguel Hilari and Claudia Joskowicz, and curated by Santiago García Navarro. The exhibition includes 40 photos, a series of drawings, three videos and a film.

The Museum of Modern Art of Buenos Aires inaugurated El Aprendizaje Infinito (Infinite Learning), an exhibition that recognizes Argentina's master artists and puts in dialogue the historical tradition of arts education and the experimental projects of the latest decades.

With the support of the Ministry of Culture of the City of Buenos Aires, on Friday, June 28, 2024 the Gallery circuit of galleries returns to the areas of Recolecta, Retiro and Microcentro.

The Museo de Arte Moderno de Buenos Aires invites artists and art professionals from Argentina and abroad who have been living in the country for 3 years or more to apply to the Casa Alberto Heredia Residency Program. Applications will be accepted until June 30, 2024 for the periods August-December 2024 and March-June 2025.

Rosana Paulino. Amefricana is the most complete exhibition outside Brazil of this artist born in Sao Paulo in 1967. The exhibition at Malba brings together a group of works made during 30 years, between 1994 and 2024, from the perspective that the Atlantic inscribes in the Afro-descendant America.

Pinta BAphoto is the most important art fair specialized in photography in Latin America. In its 20th edition, it invites galleries to submit their proposals until April 30, 2024.

Tiempo real (Real Time) is an installation by artist Vivian Galban now on view at Fundación Larrivière Fotografía Latinoamericana, curated by Raúl Flores and in association with the Buenos Aires Performance Biennale. It was previously exhibited at Rolf Art (2019), BAphoto (2019) and Paris Photo (2023).

The exhibition Danza Actual (Current Dance) at the Museum of Modern Art of Buenos Aires explores the importance of modern dance in Argentina. It is curated by Francisco Lemus.

Banco Macro presented the works of Argentine artists Cynthia Cohen and Pabli Stein in the exhibition Esplendor (Splendor) at Torre Macro, curated by Patricia Rizzo. This exhibition is a commitment by Banco Macro to share the legacy and culture of national artists.

Cosmogony Nativa (Native Cosmogony) is Lucila Gradín's exhibition at the Museo Marco. It is curated by Eva Grinstein.

Otumpa is the first exhibition of the artists Guillermo Faivovich and Nicolás Goldberg at the Museo Moderno in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Curated by Javier Villa.

Graphic Scores at PROA 21 presents, for the first time in Argentina, a selection of works by the Swiss-American artist Christian Marclay (1955), an unavoidable reference in the field of visual-sound experimentation.

Paisajes políticos (Political Landscapes) is an exhibition on the work of Carlos Trilnick. Curated by Marcela Römer, PROA presents a small group of photographs and video installations made between 1989 and 2019 that introduce the universe of this artist, curator, disseminator and teacher considered a pioneer of video art in Argentina and Latin America.

Soñar el agua, una retrospectiva del futuro (1964-...) [Dreaming of Water, a Retrospective of the Future (1964-...)] is the most comprehensive exhibition at MALBA dedicated to this day to the poet, visual artist and feminist activist Cecilia Vicuña (Santiago de Chile, 1948). It is under the curatorship of Miguel A. López.

The exhibition From the Margins. Gumier Maier in the 80s, at the Museo de Bellas Artes, brings together nearly 90 paintings, drawings, illustrations, photographs, publications and documents from the early years of Jorge Gumier Maier's career (1953-2021). It is curated by Natalia Pineau.

MACBA presents the exhibition Obsceno (Obscene) by artist Pablo Siquier, curated by Rodrigo Alonso. It is a collection of works never seen before in Argentina, which are part of the museum's collection.
