The EFG Latin America Art Award, in association with ArtNexus, announced Miguel Aguirre as Pinta PArC's nominated artist for the award.

The Italian-born Brazilian artist Anna Maria Maiolino and the Paris-based Turkish artist Nil Yalter are the recipients of the Golden Lions for Lifetime Achievement of the 60th International Art Exhibition of La Biennale di Venezia - Stranieri Ovunque - Foreigners Everywhere.

Julius Baer Group, together with the Bogotá Museum of Moder Art (MAMBO) anaunced that Ana Gallardo is the winner of the second edition of the Julius Baer Art Prize for Latin American Female Artists. It is the first prize of its kind to be held in Latin America.

Chilean artist Cecilia Vicuña is a recipients of the Golden Lions for Lifetime Achievement of the 59th International Art Exhibition of La Biennale di Venezia - The Milk of Dreams.

The Cuban artist was selected for the EFG International acquisition award for his work El Fin (The End) exhibited at PArC with the Piero Atchugarry Gallery. The announcement was made in Pinta Miami together with Diego Costa Peuser, Director of Pinta, Victor Echevarria of EFG Capital and Celia Birbragher, Director and Editor of ArtNexus.

The arteba Foundation turned 30 years old and celebrated it with a face-to-face fair at Arenas Studios, La Boca neighborhood. arteba 2021 created a space where artists, gallery owners, collectors, curators, cultural references and a massive public converged on the southern part of the City of Buenos Aires.

The EFG Latin America Art Award, now in its eleventh edition, was created to support the Latin American artists. The award aims to promote the continent's visual arts production and regional fairs among collectors around the world. From the Colombian ARTBO fair, the nominated artist is Federico Ovalles, and from the Brazilian fair SP-Arte, Gustavo Nazareno was nominated for his work “Guiné”.

Voluspa Jarpa’s Syndemic is the winner of the inaugural edition of the Julius Baer Art Prize for Latin American Female Artists, a new biennial award initiated by Julius Baer and The Museum of Modern Art of Bogotá – MAMBO. It is the first of its kind to be held in Latin America, and its mission is to honor the research of outstanding Latin American female artists. Syndemic is a site-specific multimedia project that involves photos, archival documents, videos, maps, sculptures, objects, installation, wallpapers, and lasers that project beyond the Museum’s physical space into the surrounding environment. The term “Syndemic”, from the medical field, is Voluspa Jarpa’s metaphor to analyze the violent social riots that occurred from October 2019 to March 2020 in Chile.
