Geneva-based gallery Espace Muraille presents Eamon Ore-Giron: Auto-Tune, the first-ever show of the Los Angeles-based artist in continental Europe. Curated by Valentina Locatelli and developed in close collaboration with the artist, the exhibition gathers eighteen paintings from his ongoing series Infinite Regress, conceived especially for the exhibition in Geneva, and two loom-woven tapestries created in collaboration with the Taller Mexicano de Gobelinos in Guadalajara, Mexico

Galería Zielinsky presents Yamandú Canosa's exhibition "Entre ramas” (Between Branches) as an epilogue — a coda — to "El árbol de los frutos diferentes", the project that the artist presented in 2011 at the Fundació Suñol in Barcelona. “Entre ramas” is Yamandú Canosa's first solo exhibition for the Zielinsky Gallery, in which the artist revisits works from different periods that interweave different formal preferences and thematic subjects.

Presented by Hutchinson Modern & Contemporary, the exhibition features a selection of the artist’s work from the 1960s to the present. Over the course of a seventy-year-long career, New York-based Argentinian-American artist Raquel Rabinovich (b. 1929, Buenos Aires) has been concerned with the paradox of making the invisible visible. Her interest in mythology, existence, poetry, nature, and transcendence is reflected in her monochromatic paintings and drawings, as well as in her sculptural practice that encompasses large-scale glass environments and site-specific stone installations along the shores of the Hudson River.

The exhibition comprises fourteen key works from major collections, including most of Larraz’ notorious themes.

ARTIFACTS is a project curated by researchers Barbara Krulik (US/NL) and Mildred Durán (CO/FR) that revolves around the ubiquity of information and data, and our relationship with them in the contemporary world. It was the winner of the Santa Fe Gallery Network Grant 2021 - Continuous Programming.

Casa Triângulo exhibits Antonio Henrique Amaral: Pelo Avesso, Antonio Henrique Amaral's first exhibition at the gallery, curated by Pollyana Quintella and Raphael Fonseca. Multiple and polyphonic, Antonio Henrique Amaral (1935 - 2015) endeavored to create a body of work that would resist univocal meanings. His more than six decades of production have drawn a multifaceted path that has been the subject of recent revisions through essays and monographic exhibitions that place the artist beyond his iconic and emblematic Bananas, made between 1968 and 1975.

Carried out by Casas Riegner in collaboration with the 1Mira Madrid gallery, and curated by Paula Bossa, Respuestas a una época: María Teresa Hincapié 1987- 2006 (Answers to a time) is the first posthumous exhibition held in Colombia that is dedicated to the artistic practice of one of the pioneers of performance in Latin America.

The exhibition HyperLeak at Diana Lowenstein Gallery brings together two artists, Alex Trimino and Felice Grodin, who, through installation, moving image, and sculpture, collectively engage with material to understand different experiences of time as a poetic proposition towards redefining our relationships with ecosystems.  

Storefront for Art and Architecture exhibits Something Broke: 2011-Windows-2021, an exhibition by Buenos Aires-based artist Mariela Scafati that presents an installation of hand-painted posters lettered by the artist with her writings and reflections on art, activism, and community. The exhibition, hosted at Storefront’s gallery space in New York, is open until September 15th, 2021.

In collaboration with Jimena Pérez Salerno, the Argentine artist carried out a performance in the river which she later translated to la_cápsula’s gallery space in Zurich, Switzerland.

Over more than 15 years of history, Galeria Leme has always aimed to promote contemporary art in its multiple scopes, understanding the complexity and constant change that are part of it. It is in this sense that, in 2021, the gallery initiates Leme NFT, a project conceived to produce, promote and commercialize art in NFT format, as well as to develop this still-rising market. The project was launched last Monday, August 16th and its English version can be accessed on their website.

The exhibition, at the Vigil Gonzales gallery in Valle Sagrado, brings together the work of seven Latin American artists who question the generalizations imposed on the countries and cultures of their region, and address issues such as politics, neoliberalism, and the art market.

The Galería del Paseo Lima presents Volvamos (Let’s Return), the solo show by Sylvia Fernández under the curatorship of Nicolás Gómez Echeverri.

The Brazilian sculptor explores the materiality of the human body and what it means to be human through her work in the group exhibition Her Kind. The show takes its title from the iconic and unsettling poem by American poet Anne Sexton. The works on view blend and warp pre-existing materials, transforming them into uncanny, anthropomorphic presences.

On the artist's centenary, the Ascaso Art Gallery of Caracas will present, together with the Otero-Pardo Foundation, an exhibition entitled “Contemplaciones y Memorias” (Contemplations and Memories), which under the curatorship of Bélgica Rodríguez and the museography of Rafael Santana, brings together a selection of paintings and serigraphs made by the outstanding creator.

The INCISO (Incision) exhibition brings together a group of artists who propose a journey via the collage technique and through the plurality of micro stories inherent to their own life or their interest as visual artists. Open until August 27, 2021, the exhibition is curated by Juan David Quintero Arbeláez.

The Buenos Aires gallery presents in Miliyo / Costa a bold selection of works by these artists separated by 30 years: Emiliano Miliyo (b.1970) and Eduardo Costa (b.1940).

A conscious capture, which thinks of itself, and freezes in order to account for temporal movement.

The group show runs until August 26 at the laNao space in La Condesa, Mexico City. Curated by Manuel Sentíes, COMERSE EL OJO (TO EAT ONE’S EYE) revolves around painting. The artists Anaís Vasconcelos, Luis Figueroa, Lucas Lugarinho and Enrique López Llamas participate.

“It is inevitable to mention the history of painting when we refer to the work of Fernando Uhía, since it seems in the first instance to allude to the theories of color, the purism of the medium and the ruptures of the mimetic representation that occurred during the emergence of the artistic avant-gardes in the first decades of the 20th century. However, Special Defects departs from such assumptions and invites the viewer to an aesthetic experience of color through a unique treatment of paint. The above, from a global language that is expressed through the construction of shapes and colors, which today are not only present in fine arts but also in design and advertising. " Luciana Rizo introduces in the curatorial text.

META Miami and Henrique Faria New York present Selected Works (2003-2019), José Gabriel Fernández’s first solo exhibition at the foundation's Wynwood space. This exhibition features a selection of works in different media (sculpture, reliefs, photography and collage) that spans over 15 years of the artist’s production. 

The Ecuadorian gallery presents A circle called zero, a solo exhibition by David Rickard (New Zealand/UK) curated by Rubén Darío Díaz Chávez. The proposal brings together works in painting, objects, installation, sculpture, video and photography and reflects on the territory, its representation and how we relate to each other in times of pandemic.

This group show at the Buenos Aires gallery offers a multiple panorama of the urban experience. With the city as the protagonist, the works evoke the different relationships that can be found between the individual and its built environment.
