On its 25th anniversary, Hamburger Bahnhof – Museum für Gegenwart – Berlin shows important works from the Nationalgalerie Collection and the Haubrok Collection. A spacious architectural design was developed in the museum’s Historical Hall especially for the occasion. Highlighted among the works are those by Alfredo Jaar and Ruben Ochoa.

The artist has created a full-fledged maritime museum within the walls of the Brooklyn Museum, debuting approximately 250 new and recent works made entirely out of discarded plastic found in New York waterways. DEATH TO THE LIVING, Long Live Trash, a critical, provocative look at the ecological impact of capitalism across centuries, connects the history of American maritime art to current themes of environmental justice.

Acquired for PAMM’s collection in 2020 with funds provided by Jorge M. Pérez, Chromosaturation is an immersive environment that reimagines color as an embodied experience.

Memory of a Telluric Movement is the title of this exhibition at Museum Haus Konstruktiv. It presents a comprehensive solo exhibition to Mexican artist Jose Dávila (b. 1974 in Guadalajara, Mexico, where he lives and works). Curated by Sabine Schaschl and on view until September 11^th.

Radical Conventions is presented in collaboration with the Cuban Heritage Collection of the University of Miami Libraries. Curated by Elizabeth Cerejido, PhD., the exhibition will be on view until June 12^th.

The Hamburger Bahnhof is holding an exhibition entitled Under Construction, which will present the latest additions to the Nationalgalerie collection. The museum has been able to acquire these new objects over the past few years thanks in large part to funding from the Freunde der Nationalgalerie.

The Thyssen-Bornemisza National Museum (Madrid, Spain) contains the world view of the American people. Almost four centuries of American painting are on display in rooms 46 to 55 on the first floor of the museum. To name but a few names: Peale, Cole, Heade, Church, Hopper, Burchfield, Shahn, Rothko, de Kooning, Pollock, Estes... Probably the most complete collection of American art in Europe, and a must-see exhibition for anyone who wants to understand the history and thougt of the Western country.

Organized by Fundación Proa with the collaboration of the Estate of Christo V. Javacheff and Museo de Arte Contemporáneo Atchugarry; curated by Lorenza Giovanelli. The retrospective exhibition Christo and Jeanne-Claude presents an exhaustive fundamental territory of concepts and images to appreciate the art of the second half of the twentieth century. The appropriation of public property, wrapping monuments and transforming the natural space with their interventions brings us closer to one of the most relevant trends in artistic practice.

CGAC -Centro Galego de Arte Contemporánea- exhibits Buen Gobierno (Good Government) by Peruvian artista Sandra Gamarra Heshiki.

In Maluf's exhibition project, the language of three-dimensional works is combined with the installation format. With this in mind, and the characteristic spatial layout of Gallery 5 of the Emilio Caraffa Museum with its great heights, the works participate from their immanence in a dialogue with the circumstance.

Tate Modern and Hyundai Motor announced that Chilean artist and poet Cecilia Vicuña will create the next annual Hyundai Commission. Vicuña (b.1948) is perhaps best known for her radical textile sculptures, combining natural materials and traditional crafts. A prolific multi-disciplinary artist, Vicuña explores the pressing concerns of ecology, community, and social justice. Her new site-specific work for the Turbine Hall will inaugurate on October 11^th  2022.

Pérez Art Museum Miami (PAMM) presents Marisol and Warhol Take New York, an exhibition featuring iconic artworks and ephemera by artists Marisol Escobar and Andy Warhol, opening on April 15, 2022. The exhibition not only offers a glimpse into Marisol and Warhol’s close bond as friends and artistic collaborators, but chronicles the development of both artists' careers over an eight-year span from 1960–1968, while highlighting their influence on each other, their parallel rises to success, and their savvy navigation of the highly competitive 1960’s gallery world.

With “Gego. The Architecture of an Artist” the Kunstmuseum Stuttgart is dedicating a second exhibition to the artist Gertrud Goldschmidt (Hamburg 1912–1994 Caracas).

Internationally recognized for creating works that are thoughtful, bewildering, and play­ful, Urs Fischer works across sculpture, photography, drawing, painting, and publishing, employing a variety of materials and processes that resist easy classification.

Reluctantly classified, with increasing complexity and interest, the work of Maria Martins (1894-1973) has yet to gain recognition in her native country. But a selection of some 50 pieces, on display in Rio de Janeiro through June, should help reposition the sculptor, draftswoman and engraver in the pantheon of leading Brazilian artists.

The Museum of Modern Art of Medellín (MAMM) exhibits María Teresa Hincapié. Si este fuera un principio de infinito (María Teresa Hincapié. If this were a principle of infinity), the first institutional exhibition dedicated to the practice of Colombian artist María Teresa Hincapié (Armenia, 1954 – Bogotá, 2008). A pioneer in Colombia and Latin America, Hincapié had a very particular definition of the performative discipline that she used to call “training” and which resisted any specific categorization; rather, it oscillated between life, creation in motion and the search for the sacred.

While the Storm Arrives is a project for our tumultuous times in which mounir fatmi assesses the sheer weight of accounts and commentaries we increasingly have to bear—physically and intellectually violent narratives that have marked our past and are now shaping our future.

The National Gallery of Art announced Maria Bonta de la Pezuela as new Deputy Director of Development, within the division of External Affairs and Audience Engagement. Maria brings deep expertise in Latin American and Contemporary Art as well as strong professional relationships throughout the Americas to the position.

The Meadows Museum, SMU, presents an exhibition by the Spanish conceptual artist Ignasi Aballí (b. 1958), ahead of his solo presentation at the Spanish Pavilion at the 59th Venice Biennale.

Kunsthalle Lissabon presents Tactiles, the first solo show in Portugal by the Costa Rican artist Federico Herrero.

The Art Museum of the Americas presents Geandy Pavón: Quarantine: 40 Days and 40 Nights, a timely and imaginative photographic exploration of life under quarantine. Initially presented as an online exhibition during the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic, this long-awaited exhibition is now open for visitors in person at the museum.

This exhibition, curated by Vanessa K. Davidson, Ph.D. and co-organized by the Phoenix Art Museum and the Blanton Museum of Art, is the first retrospective of Colombian artist Oscar Muñoz's work in the United States

Fantastic Interior is made up of four scenes, interventions that take place throughout the year by four different artists, whose common thread is issues such as intimacy, self-care and the construction of subjectivity. Through the practice of these artists -Ad Minoliti, Marina González Guerreiro, Eva Kot'átková and Korakrit Arunanondchai-, the curator Rafa Barber Cortell invites us to think about the imaginary that has been created around the "inner world".

Stockholm syndrome occurs when a victim establishes an emotional bond with their captors. With motherhood many women feel like this: their life is no longer theirs and escaping is impossible. However, the kidnappers are not the daughters or the sons. The perpetrator is the patriarchal system that, under the story of love, hides the tasks that sustain life while exploiting them. The works exhibited here reveal motherhood as a disputed concept. On one side is the violence of labor and legal demands; on the other, the struggles that intertwine like a tide around the need for reproductive rights and care strategies that escape capitalist accumulation. This is an example of the enormous political power of motherhood.

The Miguel Urrutia Art Museum of the Banco de la República presents the exhibition Veroír el fracaso iluminado (Seehearing the Enlightened Failure), a retrospective that brings together more than 100 works by the Chilean artist Cecilia Vicuña, whose work addresses issues such as the environment, feminism, human rights humans, decolonization and the relationship between art and politics. The exhibition, curated by Miguel López, one of the most outstanding curators on the current Latin American art scene, arrives in Colombia thanks to the collaboration between the Kunstinstituut Melly (Rotterdam) and the Banco de la República.

The Cartier Foundation presents "Heliotropo 37", the first major exhibition in France dedicated to the work of Mexican photographer Graciela Iturbide. It brings together more than 200 images from the 1970s to today. Photographs from the most iconic to the most recent, as well as a color series specially produced for the exhibition. If today she is famous for her portraits of the Indians of the Sonoran Desert, the women of Juchitán, or for her photographic essays on the ancestral communities and traditions of Mexico, Graciela Iturbide also draws an almost spiritual focus to landscapes and objects. Showing for the first time these two facets, these two points of view of the artist's work, the exhibition thus offers a renewed vision and reveals her great contribution to photographic art.

Popular Painters and Other Visionaries examines the practices of 35 artists working on the margins of modernism and the mainstream art world throughout the Americas around the mid-20th century.

On February 16^th, the exhibition "Una colección, dos cartas y un meteoro" (A Collection, Two Letters and a Meteor) was inaugurated at the Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes (Buenos Aires) with the work of artist Cristian Segura and curatorship by art historian María Guadalupe Suasnábar. The exhibition revalues ​​the sculpture Météore (1981) by Alicia Penalba (San Pedro, 1913-París, 1982) through an installation by Segura (Tandil, 1976) about the letters exchanged between Penalba and those responsible for the Torcuato Di Tella Institute between 1961 and 1962.

From February 12 to May 29, 2022, the Fondation Cartier pour l’art contemporain presents Heliotropo 37, the first large exhibition devoted to Mexican photographer Graciela Iturbide in France, spanning works dating from the 1970s to the present day.

The MACA (Atchugarry Museum of Contemporary Art) hosts until mid-April the great exhibition entitled Gráfica Encapsulada (Encapsulated Graphics) by the Argentine artist León Ferrari. The show features a series of works dating back to the 1980s.
