The 2023 edition of Pinta BAphoto will take place from September 28th to October 1st at La Rural, Pavilion 8, Buenos Aires, Argentina. The deadline for the call for artists and galleries is Friday, March 31, 2023.

ARCOmadrid ended its 2023 edition with a strong presence of Latin American galleries and artists, more than 93,000 visitors, and works that move and challenge.

For the 2023 edition of ARCOmadrid, Hache Galería presents a selection of works by Florencia Böhtlingk as part of the program Nunca lo mismo. Latin American Art. It is curated by Mariano Meyer and Manuela Moscoso.

A total of 211 galleries from 36 countries are participating in the Spanish fair from February 22^nd to 26^th. Latin American art is present with 11 galleries.

The 13^th edition of the Mercosul Biennial, anchored in the Trauma, dream and flight tripod and finished last November, had encouraging developments, especially due to the outstanding presence of emerging artists, the strong contact with the public and the resumption of powerful spaces and traditional attractions of the event, such as the Cais do Porto. However, there were problems in the organization of the exhibition, the most serious episode of which was the '(dis)invitation' of names to exhibit works, and a certain frustration with pieces that would have a technological appeal.

The Board of La Biennale di Venezia appointed Adriano Pedrosa as Director of the Visual Arts Sector, with the specific task of curating the 60th International Art Exhibition to be held in 2024 (from April 20^th to November 24^th).

Meridiano, the Argentine Chamber of Art Galleries, closed the year with the great participation of 15 galleries in some of the most important art fairs held in Miami: Art Basel Miami Beach, Pinta, Untitled Art and N.A.D.A.

Pinta Miami concludes the 2022 cultural agenda with more than 14,000 visitors, 48 institutions and 28 cities present. The fair at The Hangar, Coconut Grove led to good sales and a record number of awards. Pinta closes the year with extensive ground covered and is preparing to continue growing on both sides of the Atlantic.

In its sixteenth edition, Pinta Miami pays tribute to Ides Kihlen in collaboration with the Aina Nowack / AAC gallery. Kihlen's works, exhibited both internationally and in the main Argentine museums, have sparked attention only recently but very heartily. Pinta seeks to honor this relentless artist whose rhythms and gestures express a playful intuition. 

Year after year, Pinta Miami affirms its commitment with the cultural expressions in America and Spain. This year’s Main Section, and the highlighted Design section, serve proof of this mission to offer the global public a panoramic view of what the artists in our region have to show.

Curated by Oscar Roldán-Alzate, Solo-Duo is presented as an alternative to the traditional Solo Projects section, favoring contrasts and expanding the depth of dynamics and coexistence. This reinvention represents Pinta’s commitment with the historic and the contemporary, the young and the established, the local and the global.

Pinta Miami inaugurates today, and within the concepts of change and processes, the Special Projects section presents works by Carlos Medina, Richard Garet, Muu Blanco and Julia Zurilla.

Curated by Florencia Portocarrero, NEXT is a new section at Pinta Miami 2022 that functions as an innovative and inclusive platform that allows the fair's audience to discover the latest and emerging art from Latin America. The curatorial structure is based on dialogue and collaboration between galleries. As a result, in five booths, NEXT brings together ten galleries and twelve artists.

PINTA MIAMI IS COMING TO THE GROVE

Pinta Miami celebrates its sixteenth iteration in The Hangar, the new venue in the artistic community of Coconut Grove. The Fair presents Latin American and Spanish modern and contemporary art at geographical crossroads. During Miami Art Week, new visitors will connect with larger national and global art enthusiasts and collectors in this landmark building of singular distinction.

The EFG Latin America Art Award –in collaboration with ArtNexus– presented the Ch.ACO 2022 selected artist, Rafael Villares, as one of the finalists for the company’s annual acquisition award. The winner will be announced at Pinta Miami this week.

The EFG Latin America Art Award, together with ArtNexus, announced Nohemí Pérez, from mor Charpentier (Paris and Bogotá), as the selected artist for the company’s annual acquisition award. The winner will be announced at Pinta Miami during Art Week in the city.

The eighteenth edition of BAphoto ended last Sunday, held for the second consecutive year at Casa Basavilbaso. With photography as the main protagonist, more than 8,200 artists, gallery owners, curators, collectors and art lovers gathered to explore, discover and pay tribute to latinamerican photographers.

Pinta BAphoto presents its 18th edition at Casa Basavilbaso, Buenos Aires. The Latin American photography fair with the longest history can be visited from September 21 to 25. The artistic meeting, dedicated to the promotion, dissemination and marketing of photographs, as of this year is presented as part of the Pinta Art universe accompanied by EFG Wealth Management as Main Sponsor. The EFG Latin America Art Award, in partnership with ArtNexus, announced Ximena Garrido-Lecca, from the gallery 80m2 Livia Benavides, Lima, as the artist nominated for its annual acquisition award. The work was selected at the Pinta PArC fair with the  collaboration of Magali Arriola, art critic and independent curator, jointly with Celia Sredni de Birbragher, Director and Editor of ArtNexus.

With the curatorship of Verónica Santalla and the collaboration of Miguel López, this meeting space is proposed in a hybrid format, combining in-person talks at the Pinta PArC auditorium and audiovisual content.

Curated by Florencia Portocarrero, the NEXT section brings together seven galleries that are committed to visibilizing the work of young and/or emerging artists. The section seeks to function as a window, for the public of the fair, to the various cities of Latin America in which the gallery projects are registered; such as Buenos Aires, Cusco, Lima, Cholula, Rosario, Quito and Santiago.

The SOLO PROJECTS section exhibits six artists represented by their respective galleries. The section is intended as an opportunity to highlight the production of contemporary artists in such a way that visitors can relate to their work in a deeper and more personal way.

As a novelty, this year Pinta PArC presents a new space with a leading role marked by the textile art of Tiodoro Pacco. Institutionally and with the curatorship of Jerson Ramirez, the aim is to recover, highlight and celebrate the traditional techniques and artistic work of the region. The space is thus dedicated to the exploration of memory, the transmission of cultural values​​and the examination of the processes and formats that are interwoven in the Peruvian artistic identity.

The ninth edition of PArC, Perú Arte Contemporáneo, will take place between April 20^th and 24^th, 2022. Integrated into the Pinta universe, the most relevant international art fair in Peru is characterized by an experimental program and a selection of galleries with diverse and contemporary proposals. ARCOmadrid, organized by IFEMA MADRID, closed its 40+1 Anniversary on Sunday with a commercial balance described by the participating galleries as very positive. The attractive presentation of galleries and artistic programs that have made up the contents of this edition have attracted a global figure of 75,000 visitors, among which were 30,000 art professionals.

The fair takes place from April 6th to 10th at the Bienal Pavilion in Ibirapuera Park, reaffirming its leading role in the arts market and bringing together around 130 galleries, nine of which are international.

From February 23 to 27 in pavilions 7 and 9 of IFEMA Madrid, the 40 (+1) edition of the most important international art fair on the Iberian Peninsula will take place.

ZONAMACO will present international exhibitors in-person at Centro Citibanamex from February 9 to 13, 2022, welcoming more than 200 galleries from more than 25 countries around the world and bringing together its four fairs simultaneously: ZONAMACO MÉXICO ARTE CONTEMPORÁNEO, ZONAMACO DISEÑO, ZONAMACO SALÓN and ZONAMACO FOTO.
