Una Nueva Era (A New Era), the solo show of th Peruvian artis Iosu Aramburu will take place tomorrow at the Museum of Art of San Marcos (MASM).

The Douglas Hyde Gallery presents, today, an ambitious new artwork that explores the politics and conditions of visibility. Initiated by Dublin-based artists and long-term collaborators, Sven Anderson and Gerard Byrne, A Visibility Matrix assembles contributions from a distributed panel of artists, film-makers and others within a synchronised, multi-channel video installation that will be presented for the first time in Gallery 1 of The Douglas Hyde Gallery. 

As part of the Lange Nacht der Ideen 2018, organised by the Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Germany, Teresa Margolles presents her solo show Sutura. The exhibition brings together two new projects of the artist, product of her stay in Berlin: Los Otros (The Others) and La Gran América (The Great America).

Created and produced by the Argentinean conceptual artist Leandro Erlich, Construction of Reality is an individual exhibition that brings together around thirty artworks: from large-scale interactive installations and optical illusions, to photography and video installations.

Until July 6th, the Chilean artist Cecilia Vicuña presents at Lehmann Maupin a comprehensive exhibition of all her work (1969- 2017). In addition, the project La India Contaminada will be exhibited simultaneously at the Brooklyn Museum.

Brazilian artist Pedro Zylbersztain will perform brickwork, a physical record of the process of re/constitution of language. Unfolding as a 12" disc/book and a performance, it is based on a circular text that regards language use as a permanent building site.

Tomorrow, June 5th, BRIC organization inaugurates Peruvian artist Grimanesa Amorós HEDERA. As part of its fortieth anniversary, BRIC- one of the biggest art and culture promoters of New York- commissioned the artist who lives in New York, a monumental light structure that will be installed at the Prospect Park Bandshell as a special component of the BRIC Celebrate Brooklyn! Festival.

Since May 24 until June 30th, the OMR Gallery in Mexico, presents the exhibition Ghost Nets by Julieta Aranda, held in two movements: The first movement of the exhibition takes place downstairs, the second, upstairs.

The artist Leonor Antunes presents an individual exhibition at the Tamayo Museum in Mexico, where she makes sculptural installations that work as interventions in the space, to talk about the perception, the history of architecture, the design, the matter and the functionality of the objects and the art of the twentieth century.

Hernán Cédola presents La pintura silenciosa, an exhibition in the Microespacio del Mueo Provincial Emilio Pettoruti room composed of paintings and drawings made at different times between Argentina and Germany.

Caracas Reset! It is an interdisciplinary and collaborative meeting that will be held on May 15, 16 and 17 in La Colonie (128 of Rue Lafayette), a space founded by the renowned French artist of Algerian origin Kader Attia, who through his activities intends to pose in the present debates on the decolonization of peoples, knowledge, and contemporary history.

From June 20 to August 10, the Art Museum of the Americas (AMA) in Washington will present Intimate Cartographies: an approach to interpersonal relationships project.

The week of arteBA 2018 was a celebration of art in Buenos Aires. A large number of public was invited to participate in a comprehensive program of activities that, for the first time, included free guided tours, workshops for children, live performances in various sections and talk and presentation programs among which topics such as collecting predominated , public and private support for art and feminism.

The winners of the 11th edition of the OBRA Prize organized by Joaquín Rodríguez and Abel Guaglianone were announced in Barrio Joven dearteBA, who, thanks to the generous collaboration of collectors and art enthusiasts, managed to raise a total amount of 240 thousand pesos and give three prizes of $ 80 thousand pesos to a gallery and two artists.

arteBA 2018 was officially inaugurated with the presence of Horacio Rodríguez Larreta, Head of Government of the City of Buenos Aires, Pablo Avelluto, Minister of Culture of the Nation, Enrique Avogadro, Minister of Culture of the City of Buenos Aires with the president of arteBA Foundation, Alec Oxenford and Gabriel Martino, president of HSBC, Main Sponsor of the fair. During the inaugural event, the Head of Government referred to arteBA as the most important moment of the year for culture, Avelluto celebrated the modification of the law for the circulation of works of art, Enrique Avogadro stressed the great artistic potential of the city and Alec Oxenford thanked the private and state contribution to arteBA Foundation to carry out this event that brings together the main leaders of culture in the world.

During the hours prior to the inauguration of the Arteba fair, the representatives of the Municipal Fine Arts Museums of Tandil; of contemporary art of Salta; and Contemporary Art of the South, in the municipality of Lanús; They visited the fair in search of new works to add to the heritage, through the new edition of the Matching Funds-Banco Ciudad program.

The new arteBA can be visited until Sunday May 27 at La Rural (Palermo, Buenos Aires). This year the fair renewed its commitment to the selection of curators and the sections of the fair in which more than 400 artists from more than 80 galleries from 27 cities participate, with enriching dialogues between emerging artists, established and proposals for performances, talks , debates and presentations. Bernardo Paz, businessman and owner of Inhotim, one of the largest open-air contemporary museums in the world, located in Belo Horizonte (state of Minas Gerais). He was sentenced to nine years and three months in prison by the Brazilian justice.
