apexart is accepting exhibition proposals for its NYC Open Call from October 1–31, 2021. Five winning proposals will become apexart exhibitions presented at apexart’s NYC space as part of its 2022-23 exhibition season. Curators, artists, writers, and creative individuals, regardless of experience level or location, are invited to submit a proposal online.

An initiative of the Robert S. Wennett and Mario Cader-Frech Foundation, Y.ES Contemporary creates opportunities for outstanding Salvadoran contemporary artists to advance their artistic practice and engage with artists, curators, collectors, gallerists and the media within and outside El Salvador.

The Plastic Arts Grants are intended both for the training and development of personal and research projects, linked to artistic creation and not theoretical study. Artists of any nationality can apply to this call in order to move abroad and continue their work, study or stay in residence. Application deadline: September 3^rd, 2021.

As humanity expands into the solar system, so will art. Moon Gallery proposes to send a collection of ideas into space for future generations to hold onto. Each idea has a big role to serve as a seed of a new culture, but they are small enough to fit into one-cubic-centimeter space travel casing. This is a symbolic gesture, offering an opportunity to discuss what art and culture mean to us at the beginning of the multi-planetary epoch of humanity, and presenting a remote cache of artifacts for future humans to discover and enjoy. Application deadline: August 8^th, 2021.

Until September 15, the call is open to Colombian or foreign artists with more than 15 years of experience to present an artistic intervention in the Fragmentos space, created by Doris Salcedo. The award consists of one hundred and sixty million Colombian pesos ($160,000,000 m/cte).

The renowned art contest, again organized in partnership with the Museum of Modern Art of Buenos Aires, will select and award $1,200,000 to an unpublished work to permanently inhabit one of the company's developments. Application deadline: August 26, 2021

Artists under 30 and from all over the world may apply for the call, which starts with a workshop and includes the possibility to obtain a 25,000 euro grant and the chance to exhibit in the context of the 59th International Art Exhibition of La Biennale di Venezia, Il latte dei sogni / The Milk of Dreams, curated by Cecilia Alemani.

The Y.ES annual grant for Art Writers aims to promote art criticism by supporting coverage of contemporary practice in and about El Salvador. This year, a grant of $500 is awarded to a writer from anywhere in the world to produce an article to be published on Terremoto’s international online platform. Application deadline: July 15, 2021

This is a call for young curators residing in the Community of Madrid, organized by Sala de Arte Joven. The initiative awards curatorial projects and its main objective is to highlight an overview of current artistic creation to professionals in the sector and the general public. Applications can be submitted until June 11, 2021.

Twenty proposals will be selected to be part of the Transe exhibition, part of the 13th edition of the Mercosul Biennial, which takes place in September 2022. Applications can be submitted until July 20^th, and the selection will be announced on September 22nd.

Argentina - The Bunge y Born Foundation announces a contest with the aim of valuing the role of artists and their perspective on the current context since the pandemic, the confinement and the reconfiguration of our lives, the new ways of connecting with each other, work, school, the value of solidarity and collaborative work. The Proyecto Especial Bicentenario (Special Bicentennial Project) announces the launch of the curatorial contest for the National Exhibition / Peru Bicentennial, which will be inaugurated in July 2021 in the temporary rooms of the Museo de Arte de Lima and the Museo Metropolitano de Lima. The exhibition will become the central event of a program that will include physical, virtual and traveling projects throughout the national territory, to commemorate the 200 years of the republic.

Curated by Clarissa Aidar to defy conservative fantasies of destruction during this dystopian turn of events, the exhibition brings together six new installations created by transgender women artists living in São Paulo who imagine what must we transform (ourselves into) in order to resist. Invoking metamorphosis as a collective strategy of survival, they nurture utopic, rebellious, and unbounded futures rising up from the present wreckage. Together with an extensive series of public programs, it intends to become a space of encounter, exchange and preparation for the here and now.

Design and ideas competition to reimagine museums as a radical form of climate action Application deadline: September 15, 2020

Argentina Performance Art is the first and only digital platform dedicated exclusively to theoretical research on Performance Art in Argentina.

In its 2nd edition, individual and collective artists from all over the country will be able to participate in the contest, which will select an artwork to be located in DONNA Acqua, the new residential building developed by Azcuy. The winner will be awarded an amount of $ 800,000, in addition to the production of the work. Deadline August 2, 2020.
