Prats Nogueras Blanchard brings together works by Belkis Ayón, Chioma Ebinama, Susy Gómez, Nancy Spero, and Cecilia Vicuña in There is a Timbre of Voice, an exhibition that invites viewers to explore areas of connection between the sacred and the intimate. Rooted in a space that oscillates between the mystical and memory, the feminine gaze of these five artists opens up the possibility of imagining and redesigning another world from a critical perspective and through the vindication of resistance.

THE MEANING OF THE WAVE IN DIANGO HERNÁNDEZ

Casado Santapau programs El fin, el mar (The End, The Sea), which is Diango Hernández’s (Sancti Spíritus, Cuba, 1970) fourth exhibition at the gallery, presents a new body of work that expands and evolves his artistic practice. The exhibition features several works using different techniques, all of which echo the sobriety of undulating lines. Within this theme, which forms the backbone of the exhibition, two acrylics on canvas are displayed alongside a group of pieces that emphasize the minimalism of the wave’s gesture.

Aiming to explore Natalia Castañeda’s (Manizales, Colombia, 1982) personal experience through her archival and emotional artistic practice, the Isabel Hurley Gallery in Málaga presents Piel de glaciar (Glacier Skin). LEYLA CÁRDENAS' BIFURCATIONS AT MAX ESTRELLA

Leyla Cárdenas (Bogotá, Colombia, 1975) brings Posibles bifurcaciones (Possible Bifurcations) to Madrid's Max Estrella, a project consisting of various installations that revolve around the meanings and possibilities of the technique of unraveling. The concept for the exhibition originated during the artist's residency last year in Mallorca and her research into the origins of each of the islands that make up the Balearic archipelago.

ROBERTO HUARCAYA'S PHOTOGRAPHIC RESEARCH

The Madrid-based gallery Ponce+Robles presents Ver por contacto (“Seeing by Contact”), an exhibition showcasing a selection of photograms from some of Roberto Huarcaya’s (Lima, Peru, 1959) most iconic series. Among them, particular emphasis is placed on works from Amazogramas (2014), a project carried out in the Peruvian Amazon, specifically in the Tambopata jungle. For this work, the photographer used large rolls of photosensitive paper to capture innovative images by making direct contact with the surrounding vegetation.
