YICCA LAUNCHED INTERNATIONAL OPEN CALL WITH EUROPEAN SHOWCASE AND ARTIST AWARDS
The contemporary art competition awards up to €3000, includes a European exhibition for selected works, and offers direct visibility among curators, gallerists, and institutions. Applications close on November 20, 2025.
The 2025 edition of YICCA —International Prize of Contemporary Art— is now open to artists from any country, regardless of training, age, or professional background. The competition aims to promote emerging and established practices by offering access to the international art market, institutional visibility, and professional networking opportunities.
The prize will grant €3000 to the first place, €1000 to the second, €500 to the third, and an additional €1000 special award reserved for students. Selected works will be featured in a group exhibition at Venice, in the new Art Space of Imagoars, and published in the official YICCA catalogue, distributed free of charge to finalists and to professionals attending the opening.
All media are eligible, including installation, video, and performance. Applications must include an image or video of the work and a description. Works must be property of the artist and available for the final exhibition if selected. The maximum size allowed is 3 x 3 meters.
An international jury —to be announced before the deadline— will select 18 finalists for the exhibition. Winners will then be chosen through a scoring system equally weighted between the jury, the A.p.s. Moho Association (organizer of the prize), and the hosting gallery.
The deadline to apply is November 20, and it can be done through their official website. Winning works will be announced on December 9, 2025 and published on the official website at the close of the exhibition. After the final selection, artists will be contacted for catalogue and logistical preparation.
The final exhibition will be organized by Moho Association in collaboration with the jury and will open to the public with invited collectors, press, curators, and other professionals. Insurance of the works during transport and display is the responsibility of the artists.
With cash awards, a European exhibition, and direct professional exposure, YICCA positions itself as a relevant gateway for contemporary practices seeking international reach.
