OPEN CALL: PIVÔ SALVADOR LAUNCHES ITS 2026 RESIDENCY PROGRAM

Applications are open for the 2026 Pivô Salvador Artistic Residency. The call is aimed at artists and cultural practitioners over 18 years old, with experience in research and/or artistic production, who wish to develop a research and/or production project. Applications must be submitted through the designated form by November 27.

 

Entering its second year of residencies in Salvador, Pivô has hosted 30 artists since its creation in 2023. In 2026, the program will again be offered in two formats: Immersion and Connection. The Connection residency will be carried out in partnership with CAMPO Arte Contemporânea (Teresina, Piauí), strengthening exchanges across different Brazilian territories.

 

Immersion Residency

A total of four residents will be selected across two cycles:

  • Cycle 1: April 1–30, 2026
  • Cycle 2: November 1–30, 2026

There will be three positions for Brazilian applicants from any state and one position for an applicant born and residing in Bahia.

 

Pivô offersresearch grant of R$ 2,000, one round-trip travel, accommodation for research or production, lodging with breakfast and lunch, and other amenities.

 

Connection Residency

Open to one participant born and residing in Bahia, taking place May 1–31, 2026.

 

In this case, the institution offers research grant of R$ 5,000, round-trip airfare SSA–THE–SSA, shared accommodation and studio spaces, curatorial support, and other amenities.

 

On January 31, 2026, the selected candidates for both residencies will be announced.
