The Almenara Art Prize, an international online painting competition, has opened its registration period for 2026. With a total prize pool exceeding €65,000 — including more than €30,000 in cash and €35,000 in products — the competition positions itself as a significant opportunity for painters working in a broad range of styles and techniques.

The competition is open to artists from any country and accepts works in oil, acrylic, watercolor, pastel, graphite, colored pencil, ink, charcoal, gouache, tempera, and all traditional mediums, on surfaces such as canvas, linen, cardboard, paper, copper, or wood. The accepted styles range from hyperrealism and photorealism to impressionism, surrealism, and plein air painting.

Entries are organized into ten categories: Figurative, Portrait, Drawing, Landscape and Plein Air, Still Life, Wildlife and Animal, Religious and Spiritual, Fantastic Realism, From Life by Graduated Students, and a Young category. There is no limit to the number of works an artist may enter, nor any size restriction. Works do not need to be available for sale, though only works marked for sale may compete for acquisition prizes. Artists retain 100% of their sale price, as The Almenara Collection connects buyers directly with artists without taking a commission.

Selected, finalist, and winning works will be exhibited on the organization's website and social media, with winners remaining permanently showcased online.

Those interested may register using the form on the website by June 30, 2026.
