THE SCHOOL OF ARTS AND CRAFTS CLOSES REGISTRATION THIS THURSDAY
Applications for Master Copies are open until May 22 — the new edition of the free program that explores the intersection of art, craft, and the transmission of knowledge.
The Escuela de Artes y Oficios (EAO) closes its 2026 open call this Thursday, May 22. The program — free of charge, with prior selection — is open to artists, craftspeople, and practitioners of all disciplines aged 18 and over. Under the title Master Copies, this fourth edition takes the notions of model and copy to rethink the ways knowledge is transmitted in artistic education.
The chosen venue is the Museo de La Cárcova, a historic Argentine institution specialized in sculptural casts. The faculty will be made up of Heidi Jalkh, Luis Terán, and Andrei Fernández.
The program runs in hybrid format: three months of virtual classes every Monday from August through November, plus five intensive in-person days from November 18 to 22. It is co-produced with Fundación Medifé, with artistic coordination by Lorena Fernández and direction by Julieta Gómez Blumencwejg.
Founded in 2022 at the Centro Cultural Kirchner, the EAO has operated as an independent project since 2024, building a growing community of practice that brings together traditional and contemporary arts and crafts through critical thinking and collective work.
Interested participants can apply through the form on the EAO website until May 22, 2026.
