OPEN CALL FOR THE “BODY, WEAVING AND TERRITORY” RESIDENCY IN COLOMBIA
Organizmo and LA ESCUELA___ invite creators from Latin America and the Caribbean to participate in an immersive program focused on collective learning, care, and territorial practices in Tenjo, Colombia. Applications are open until June 14, 2026.
Organizmo and LA ESCUELA___ have announced the open call for the Cuerpo, tejido y territorio 2026 (Body, Weaving and Territory) 2026 residency, an immersion-based program centered on collective learning, creative experimentation, and care practices connected to territory. The residency will take place from August 12 to September 8, 2026, in Tenjo, Colombia, and is aimed at creators, researchers, and cultural practitioners based in Latin America and the Caribbean.
The initiative proposes a collective experimental space that challenges conventional ideas of architecture, infrastructure, and habitat through situated and multidisciplinary approaches. Through practices linked to art, agroecology, living pedagogies, and territorial research, the program encourages participants to rethink the relationships between body, nature, and community.
The residency will be hosted at Organizmo, a regenerating forest and research center dedicated to intercultural pedagogies and practices of care. Over four weeks, participants will engage with the natural environment through processes of listening, collective creation, and shared living.
The program is structured around three parallel areas of exploration: “Clay and Landscape,” focused on earth-based practices, fire, and ephemeral construction; “Forest, Food and Regeneration,” dedicated to ecological and agroecological restoration processes; and “Devotional Architectures and Bodies of Water,” which explores water cycles, transformation, and the sensitive dimensions of territory.
Each area will host two participants and include laboratories, meetings with local knowledge keepers, and collective exchange sessions. The residency will conclude with a Dabucurí — an open-house gathering at Organizmo — where participants will share the processes and findings developed throughout the program.
The residency covers airfare, accommodation, meals, pedagogical support, materials, and access to shared research and workspaces.
Interested applicants may apply through the form available on LA ESCUELA___’s official website until June 14, 2026. Preselection interviews will take place between July 13 and 15, while the final selection will be announced on July 17.
