OPEN CALL FOR THE 2026 Ey!Studio AiR RESIDENCES
Open
Ey!Studio

Ey!Studio has opened the call for applications for the Ey!Studio AiR Residencies 2026. Running since 2017 and artist-led, the program offers one- to three-month residencies for groups of one to six participants at a time. Residents become part of an international community of artists that encourages dialogue, collaboration, and exchange, with both Spanish and English used as working languages.

The residency will take place in Carabanchel, Madrid, from October to December 2026. Participants will be provided with private accommodation, shared communal areas, and access to a naturally lit shared studio space. The residency is designed to balance individual independence with everyday communal living, fostering meaningful professional connections and creative exchange.

Ey!Studio offers two residency formats: a self-directed residency, intended for research, writing, and independent artistic projects; and a curatorial residency, designed for visual artists and filmmakers seeking critical support through mentoring and advisory sessions. Visual artists and filmmakers also have the opportunity to contribute a work to the institution's archive, becoming eligible for a future curated group exhibition that includes exhibition design, installation, and photographic documentation provided by the space.

The open call is available until 31 July 2026 and welcomes cultural professionals of all nationalities, ages, and disciplines. Full details and application information can be found on the official Ey!Studio website.
