The program awards ten grants of $10,000 USD across four categories. The Artists category assigns four grants to research or creation projects in the visual arts that represent a significant contribution to the trajectory of individual artists or collectives. The Art and Social Engagement category awards two grants to initiatives by groups, individuals, or non-profit organizations that use artistic practice to promote education, social inclusion, and community development. The Organizations category provides two grants to projects by non-profit institutions or organizations dedicated to promoting, preserving, and disseminating the work of Latin American artists. The Publications category supports two editorial projects focused on art and/or Latin American artists, with a maximum completion period of two years from receipt of the grant.

Applications are open to artists, artist collectives, art professionals, non-profit organizations, institutions, and foundations with a significant connection to Latin America, whether through nationality, cultural heritage, or the location where the project will take place.
