MAZORCA 2027: OPEN CALL FOR GUATEMALAN ARTISTS

MAZORCA is opening its call for a 3-month residency at the Cité internationale des arts, in Paris, to take place between April 2027 and April 2028. An opportunity to develop your artistic practice, carry out a project in an international context, and build new professional connections.

 

The grant includes: round-trip flight Guatemala–Paris, residency stipend for 3 months, a USD 500 production fund, curatorial and logistical support, connection with a professional network in France, and a return residency in collaboration with La Nueva Fábrica.

 

Eligible applicants are professional visual artists who are Guatemalan nationals and have worked in Guatemala, speak French and/or English, maintain an independent artistic practice, and have a clear residency project.

Possible residency periods:
April 9 – July 5, 2027 (recommended)
July 9 – October 4, 2027
October 8, 2027 – January 3, 2028

Dates will be assigned based on program availability and the preferences indicated in the application.
