SCULPTURE GARDEN: EXCHANGING LANGUAGES
The Sculpture Garden is one of the characteristic sections of Pinta PArC. Located outdoors at the main entrance of Casa Prado and curated by Max Hernández Calvo, the proposal explores the relationship between sculpture, architecture and green areas.
The Sculpture Garden is open to an imaginative and playful dialogue between the works of the participating artists and the physical characteristics of the site. It revolves around the concepts of post-landscape and post-nature, which reflect an approach to natural spaces that escapes the contemplative (the pastoral, the picturesque) to incorporate critical dimensions (the climate crisis, resource exploitation, pollution) and that assumes an intense exchange between nature and culture. In that sense, the works in this section imaginatively explore the relationships between sculpture, architecture and the green areas of the garden itself where they are presented.

Max Hernández Calvo is an independent curator and art critic. In the next edition of Pinta PArC 2024, Herlitzka & Co. (Buenos Aires) and Henrique Faria (New York) join forces to present a booth proposal that challenges conventional notions of contemporaneity and ancestry in Latin American art.
LUCILA GRADIN: A JOURNEY THROUGH COLOR
Lucila Gradin begins her work when creating her own natural dyes –through dyeing and medicinal plants from all over the world– and culminates it by pursuing the image that leaves every trace of this ancestral practice through embroidery, textiles and compositions on paper. The Argentine artist is part of the RADAR section of Pinta PArC 2024, together with COTT Gallery.
COSMIC TRACES: ROBERTO HUARCAYA AT THE VENICE BIENNALE
Peruvian photographer Roberto Huarcaya will represent his country at the Venice Biennale 2024 with his project Cosmic Traces.

PINTA PArC 2024 AMPLIFIED THE LATIN-AMERICAN ARTISTIC EXPRESSION
Pinta PArC closed its 14th edition with more than 200 artists and 44 galleries. From April 24 to 28, 2024 at Casa Prado, the fair brought together curators, gallery owners, artists, collectors and art lovers.
MEIAC PRESENTS MARTÍN LÓPEZ LAM’S PAISAJE TRANSFERIDO
The Museo Extremeño e Iberoamericano de Arte Contemporáneo (MEIAC) in Badajoz is exhibiting, under the title Paisaje Transferido, a wide-ranging show by MartÍn Lopez Lam (Lima, Peru, 1981), one of the main exponents of graphic art in Spain, where he has been living for the last two decades.
