MALI PRESENTS ITS 2026 SUMMER AUCTION AND FESTIVE GALA
With the aim of safeguarding and promoting Peru’s artistic heritage, the museum unveils a catalogue that brings together both historical and contemporary works.
The Museo de Arte de Lima (MALI) presents the 15th edition of its Summer Auction, set to take place on February 28 at Playa del Golf, Asia. This year’s edition features a selection of traditional, historical, and contemporary artworks, including pieces by key figures of Peruvian Indigenismo such as José Sabogal, Macedonio de la Torre, and Camilo Blas, alongside works by emerging and contemporary artists including Venuca Evanán, Paul Susanibar, and Esteban Igartua, among other distinguished creators.
The catalogue encompasses painting and sculpture, offering a diverse overview of different generations and artistic languages within Peruvian art. The lots presented “are the result of a careful curatorial selection, based on criteria of quality, relevance, and state of conservation, and reaffirm the role of the auction as a space of trust, encounter, and dialogue around art and collecting,” stated Talía Durand Neuhaus, Chair of the Auction Committee.
