The Museo La Neomudéjar presents No hay más ciego que el que no quiere ver (No one is more blind than the one who refuses to see), a solo exhibition by Marisa Caichiolo (Santa Fe, Argentina, 1974). In this project, the artist explores and materializes pain and absence, primarily through embroidery. Drawing from her personal experiences, Caichiolo constructs narratives of resistance and instrumental memory to confront traumatic episodes—many of them rooted in forced disappearances.

Observing through George Friedmann’s lens allows one to grasp the power of photography and the charm of artistic fusion. Eso que llaman amor (That Which They Call Love) highlights the beauty of what is carefully constructed yet retains the fragility of the unexpected.

The Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía has announced the acquisitions made during the ARCO fair, through which both the institution and the Ministry of Culture expand the museum’s collections. Among the artists whose work is now part of the Madrid-based institution are Argentine artist Marta Minujín and Colombian artists Juan Pablo Echeverri and Luz Lizarazo—three figures with different career trajectories who bring a distinct Latin American perspective to a list of acquisitions largely focused on Spanish artists.

The Argentine artist has introduced the Julio Le Parc Virtual Labyrinthus Museum, an enveloping digital space that invites the public to explore more than 500 works, including previously unseen pieces created especially for this platform.

Madrid-based Maisterravalbuena proposes a vindication of the work of Sarah Grilo (Buenos Aires, Argentina,1917 - Madrid, Spain, 2007) through Soluciones para pensar, the second exhibition on this artist at the gallery. With a didactic and rediscovery vocation, the exhibition gathers a selection of paintings in different formats made between the 1960s and 1990s, many of them unpublished to the public. This work of selection and direct work of the gallery with the archive and the legacy of the Argentinean artist becomes fundamental in the structuring of the objective of creating opportunities for a greater knowledge of Grilo's work.

The annual program, presented by Victoria Noorthoorn, director of the Modern Museum, consists of ten exhibitions dedicated to showcasing the powerful dialogue between visual arts and theater in Argentina, from the 1960s to the present.

The Center for Art, Research and Alliances (CARA) spring 2025 exhibition, continents like seeds, brings together the work of La Chola Poblete (b. 1989, Argentina), Niño de Elche (b. 1985, Spain), and Pedro G. The Departamento 112 gallery -located in Martinez, province of Buenos Aires, Argentina- began by occupying an apartment, then became a garage and finally settled in a disused space that, converted into a hall, provides a view over the entire block.

Contemplando es como fuimos cambiando (Contemplating is how we changed) is the exhibition, the first one in Spain promoted by an institution, that the CICC Tabakalera in San Sebastian is dedicating to Gabriel Chaile (San Miguel de Tucumán, Argentina, 1985), one of the most prominent names in contemporary Latin American sculpture. This proposal is intended to take an extensive look at his work, from his beginnings to his latest works produced in Lisbon, and which is recognizable by his monumental adobe, clay and metal pieces that reflect the morphology of the pre-Columbian ceramics of his native region.

Georgina Valdez is the founder and director of the Argentine gallery The White Lodge, with locations in Córdoba and Buenos Aires. The space is part of the NEXT section of Pinta Miami 2024, with works by artists Sandro Pereira and Nushi Muntaabski. In an interview with Arte al Día, the gallerist reflected on the role of art as an engine of transformation and the place of The White Lodge in the contemporary art scene.

Malba announced that Rodrigo Moura (Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais, Brazil, 1975) will be the museum's new artistic director. Pinta BAphoto closed its 20th anniversary at La Rural, Buenos Aires, Argentina, after a weekend that brought together the best of photography in the region and was a meeting point for gallery owners, artists, curators, collectors and photography lovers. The fair attracted more than 14,000 visitors during its three days open to the public.
