OPEN CALL: INDEX FREIRAUM RESIDENCIES 2026 FOR ARTISTS AND CURATORS

The index freiraum 2026 call invites international artists and curators to apply for two residency formats near Zurich, Switzerland: index freiraum RESIDENCY and index freiraum COLLAB.
The Residency is a two-month live-in studio stay in Zurich-Albisrieden for the development and research of artistic projects. Accepted applicants receive free accommodation, a monthly stipend (500 CHF), production support, and access to the local art scene, concluding with a public presentation of selected works. Applications for this format must be submitted by January 31, 2026, to be considered.
Meanwhile, index freiraum COLLAB offers a three-month collaborative residency in Zollikon for a team consisting of an international applicant and a local artist or curator, with a joint final presentation. The deadline for COLLAB applications is February 15, 2026.
Both programs offer opportunities to build connections within the Swiss art community, dedicated time and space for artistic work, and engagement with new professional contexts.
