Valeria Maculan (Buenos Aires, Argentina, 1968) arrives at Centro Párraga with Drama!, an exhibition that transforms Space 3 into a continuous stage where visitors share the area with the characters. The work, rooted in theatrical language, abandons the classical structure of acts and scenes. Instead, the beginning, duration, and end of the experience are determined by the time each visitor spends in the space.

The exhibition revolves around Boneless, a series of large textile figures that can adapt to any environment thanks to their ability to fold, unfold, and be easily transported. This flexibility creates a kind of traveling theater, adaptable to each situation. The shapes and their arrangement evoke narrative archetypes with strong symbolic meaning in theatrical tradition—such as towers or maidens—while also referencing tarot and collective imagery.

Its variable nature turns the installation into a living organism that adjusts and transforms depending on the space and its visitors. The experience is entirely shaped by the audience’s movement and curiosity. Within this freedom and non-linear structure, the installation invites exploration of a physical ecosystem where theatrical and ritual elements merge. Suspended textiles and movable structures frame masks and anthropomorphic elements, creating a stage conducive to storytelling, myth, and interaction.

Drama! Valeria Maculan can be seen until March 19, 2026, at Centro Párraga, Madre Elisea Oliver Molina, n/n, Murcia (Spain).
