PINTA PANAMÁ ART WEEK 2026 OFFERS NEW DIALOGUE BETWEEN VISUAL ARTS AND CINEMA
This March, the event will once again take place in Panama City, opening new spaces for exchange to celebrate regional diversity.
From March 18 to 22, 2026, Panama City will once again host Pinta Panamá Art Week, offering five days dedicated to the local scene. Under the artistic direction of Irene Gelfman, visitors will be able to explore artist studios, exhibitions, an international FORO, and special activities at cultural institutions, in dialogue with the country’s tourist attractions and gastronomy.
In this new edition, Pinta Panamá Art Week will present a free screening of cinematic content as part of its cultural program, thanks to its partnership with the Panama International Film Festival (IFF Panamá). This new intersection expands spaces for dialogue, highlighting Latin American talent and positioning Panama as a cultural meeting point.

Representatives from the IFF Panamá Foundation will take part in FORO, Pinta’s series of talks dedicated to critical and participatory thinking. “This agreement opens up new opportunities for collaboration, dialogue, and exhibition that connect artists, filmmakers, and audiences around creativity and regional identity,” explained Karla Quintero, Executive Director of IFF Panamá.
The Panama International Film Festival promotes cinema from Panama, Central America, and the Caribbean, celebrating regional diversity and new ways of narrating the world. With a curated program and a schedule of activities that includes masterclasses, panels, and industry-focused spaces, IFF Panamá has established itself as a driving force for cultural development and a creative benchmark for the region.
