PINTA LIMA 2025: A GREAT MEETING OF CONTEMPORARY LATIN AMERICAN ART

In 2025, after 12 years of trajectory, Pinta PArC - Perú Arte Contemporáneo - evolves into Pinta Lima, highlighting the city and consolidating itself as the largest contemporary art fair in Peru. With this change, Pinta positions Lima as a key epicenter of Latin American contemporary art.

Under the artistic direction of Irene Gelfman, Pinta Lima 2025 will feature the Main Section, which will host more than 30 galleries from various cities around the world; in the NEXT Section, curated by Emiliano Valdés, projects that transcend the boundaries of craft and thought will coexist, while the RADAR Section, curated by Florencia Portocarrero, will showcase works that debate contemporary issues. Moving image will have its space in Video Project, curated by Irene Gelfman, while the Special Project 'What This Landscape Can Say About the Future,' with works cohabiting in the hall and garden of Casa Prado, will be curated by Giuliana Vidarte. Another major highlight of this edition will undoubtedly be a Special Project - Artist Tribute, dedicated to the Peruvian artist Teresa Burga (1935-2021), curated by Miguel A. López.

At the same time, Pinta Lima will be a focal point for the exchange of ideas and debates with invited specialists in FORO, coordinated by Giuliana Vidarte. It will also include the Collecting Talks cycle, coordinated by Pablo León de la Barra, where important guests will address different dynamics of institutional and private collecting in Latin America, alongside María Sancho-Arroyo, who will focus her talk on the art market.

During the event, different actions such as awards and acquisitions will take place to promote Latin American art at the international level.
