IRENE GELFMAN TO PARTICIPATE IN SECRETS OF COLLECTING
Various leading figures from the collecting world will come together at the Museo Nacional de Arte Decorativo to discuss the power of cultural platforms to drive artists and projects forward.
This Thursday, August 27 at 5 PM, Irene Gelfman, Artistic Director and Global Curator of Pinta, will take part in a new edition of Secretos de Coleccionistas (Secrets of Collecting) at the Museo Nacional de Arte Decorativo.
The gathering proposes a conversation around a dimension of collecting that goes beyond building a collection: its capacity to drive projects forward, support artists, generate new avenues of circulation, and contribute to the development of the cultural ecosystem.
Alongside Juan Ernesto Cambiaso, Aníbal Jozami, and Mariela Ivanier, Irene will share various experiences linked to platforms that have played an active role in the art scene, from fairs and biennials to new initiatives for encounter and access to art.
Since 2022, Irene has directed Pinta's artistic and curatorial program, coordinating international teams and initiatives across its different platforms and developing projects that seek to expand the circulation, visibility, and dialogue around contemporary Latin American art.
The conversation will be moderated by Hugo Pontoriero, director of the Museo Nacional de Arte Decorativo, and Claribel Terré Morell, director of Revista Be Cult and creator of the series.
Free admission, on a first-come, first-served basis until the venue reaches capacity.
