ARTE LAGUNA PRIZE 2025 ANNOUNCES THE SPECIAL PRIZE WINNERS
The international award expands its network of partners and recognizes 43 artists through prizes that include residencies, exhibitions, creative commissions, and collaborations with cultural institutions and companies from eight countries.
On the occasion of its 20th anniversary, Arte Laguna Prize strengthens its commitment to international contemporary art by expanding its network of partners and consolidating its Special Prizes program—an initiative designed to support emerging artists and foster new forms of collaboration between curators, cultural institutions, companies, and organizations from diverse sectors.
One of the most significant aspects of this edition is the diversity of its partners. Alongside established art institutions, companies and entrepreneurial ventures not traditionally linked to the art world have joined the initiative, recognizing art as a universal language and a powerful cultural and social force. In total, 13 Special Prizes were awarded with partners from eight different countries. Each call received more than one hundred project submissions across painting, installation, digital art, and performance.
Notable examples include Ventana, which selected a digital artist to create a work for its large-scale screens; Ghisolana Winery, which commissioned an artistic label for its Prosecco; and Asem, which highlights the role of art in fostering community development in Mozambique.
