The Centro de Arte Dos de Mayo (CA2M) is preparing two solo exhibitions dedicated to two fundamental Spanish artists of the second half of the 20th century: Javier Utra. An anamorphic portrait and Nacho Criado. Not the Voice Crying in the Desert. Both exhibitions are part of the reconfiguration of the history of contemporary art in Spain, its precedents and the continuation of the cultural scene based on the figure of fundamental artists of the time.

Curated by Gabriela Rangel, Verónica Rossi and Santiago Villanueva, the show takes as its starting point the influence of psychoanalysis on Argentine art and its establishment as a vector of modernity in the country. The selection of works is based on the weight that this field of knowledge and therapeutic practice exerted and still does, which became idiosyncratic of the national, to exhibit modern and contemporary Argentine artists who dialogue with different aspects, themes and problems of psychoanalysis.

The Meadows Museum (Dallas, USA) celebrates the 20^th  anniversary of its new building with an exhibition —Building on the Boulevard: Celebrating 20 Years of the Meadows's New Home— dedicated to its collection of Spanish art, the largest and most important outside Spain. The exhibition opened on Sunday 14^th and features artworks by Velázquez, Ribera, El Greco, Murillo, Goya, Miró, Picasso and Dalí, among many others.

Art breaks with the familiar and opens people’s eyes to new visions of the future: art creates utopias. Tools for Utopia tells the story of political and social oppression, but also of a cultural spirit of revolution; it shows how art became the tool of change in Latin America. The exhibition takes as its starting point the tradition of abstract and concrete art in countries including Brazil, Argentina and Uruguay from the 1950s until the 1970s, and presents an insight into the artistic work of Latin America.
