MARCOS BENÍTEZ AT TEXTILIA: A TOUR OF PINTA Sud ASU
In the context of the second edition of Pinta Sud ASU –from August 7 to 13, 2023 in Asuncion, Paraguay– the Textilia complex presents the exhibition Oquedad (Hollowness) by artist Marcos Benitez. It is curated by Lia Colombino.
MANZANA DE LA RIVERA: THE HISTORY BEHIND PINTA SUD'S VENUE
The Manzana de la Rivera –where the second edition of Pinta SUD | Asunción will take place from August 7 to 13, 2023– is a place of deep historical and cultural significance in the heart of Asunción, Paraguay.
THE CHAIR MUSEUM: A CHANCE TO CONNECT AND CREATE
The Chair Museum of Asuncion opened the first exhibition of National Industrial Design Diseña Paraguay 2023, where 38 exhibitors with innovative designs will participate. This exhibition will be part of the Pinta Sud | ASU program from August 7 to 13, 2023.
COLECCIÓN MENDONCA: A QUEST FOR CULTURAL IDENTITY
The Mendonca Collection, part of the second edition of Pinta Sud | ASU, houses key works of contemporary Paraguayan art -although it also includes works by artists of other nationalities- and counts with the collaboration and curatorship of expert art critics such as Adriana Almada, Felix Toranzos, Osvaldo Salerno and Ticio Escobar.
ADRIANA ALMADA AT THE SECOND EDITION OF PINTA SUD ASU 2023
Adriana Almada is an art critic, curator and writer. Her area of work and reflection is contemporary art, both in terms of artistic production as well as exhibition, curatorship and collecting. Once again, she is the main curator of Pinta Sud | ASU, where she seeks to raise visibility of the contemporary Paraguayan art scene through exhibitions, talks and visits to galleries and other art spaces.
THE ISHIR SKY. COSMOGONIC TALES OF THE PARAGUAYAN CHACO
Curated by art critic Adriana Almada, the exhibition El Cielo Ishir. Cosmogonic tales of the Paraguayan Chaco, brings together works by the late indigenous artist Ogwa and contemporaries Joaquin Sanchez and Fernando Allen.
A SHORT STORY OF PAIN. ARNALDO CRISTALDO AT MUSEO DEL BARRO
The Centro de Artes Visuales/Museo del Barro opens the exhibition Pequeña historia del dolor (Little Story of Pain), by artist Arnaldo Cristaldo.
