A FULL SCHOLARSHIP FOR COLOMBIAN ARTISTS: MICRO RESIDENCY – A ISLA
The residency invites participants to slow down, immerse themselves in a natural environment, and create space for inner listening and creative Exchange. Application deadline: August 18, 2025.
R.A.R.O. Bogotá officially launches the Micro Residency – A Isla in Colombia, in collaboration with the Department of Art at Universidad de los Andes. After three editions held in Argentina, this will be the first time the format arrives in the country, taking place in Cachipay, Cundinamarca, from September 2 to 5, 2025.
The residency offers a space for introspection, self-observation, and silence, accompanied by activities designed to support project development and explore personal creative processes. The aim is to create a pause from everyday life and overstimulation, fostering deep reflection on each artist’s sensitive practices.

Each day features specific dynamics, including hours of silence, body practices, free time for swimming, reading, or walking, creative writing exercises, explorations of the surrounding territory, and self-management and work critique sessions. Activities will take place in dialogue with a team of cultural managers, artists, and curators, as well as with fellow residents.
In this edition, and thanks to the partnership with the Department of Art at Universidad de los Andes, a full scholarship will be awarded to a Colombian artist or a foreign artist residing in Colombia.
Applications for the 4th edition of the program in Cachipay will be open until August 18, 2025. Interested applicants must complete the form A Isla 2025 / Cachipay, Colombia.
