eDigital.ART IS THE NEW NFT INITIATIVE THAT CONNECTS COLLECTORS TO WORKS OF LEADING LATIN AMERICAN ARTISTS
A new NFT initiative connects artists represented by the renowned Ella Fontanals-Cisneros Collection with collectors. eDigital.ART launches an inaugural collection NFTarot with works from Glenda León and Gustavo Pérez Monzón.
Artworks from the collection have been transformed into collectible Tarot card NFTs and released through LiveArt, the web3 platform for physical and digital art. Using state-of-the-art 3D scanning and modeling and 2D imaging technology, eDigital.ART works with each artist to create a digitally inspired version of their original artworks that retain the spirit and character of their original physical versions.
In addition to supporting the artists directly, the majority of proceeds from sales of eDigital.ART NFTs benefit CIFO in its ongoing advocacy and promotion of the work of contemporary Latin American artists.
The NFTarot Collection features fourteen works by artists Gustavo Pérez Monzón and Glenda León. Monzón’s NFTs are based on three physical tarot deck artworks held in the Ella Fontanals-Cisneros Collection. During the 1980s, the artist became interested in ancient knowledge systems like numerology and tarot, which caused an impact on his world view and work. León’s practice frequently engages with digital and new media. She created new digital works for this initiative, which exemplify an alternate look at the esoteric based on Leon’s world view, and global perspective.
