PArC - PART OF THE EFG LATIN AMERICA ART AWARD NOMINATION CIRCUIT
PArC, Perú Arte Contemporaneo, announces that this year the participating galleries of the fair will be part of the selection for the EFG LATIN AMERICA ART Acquisition Award -in association with ArtNexus, which will be presented at the Pinta Miami 2020 fair.
The award aims to promote the production of Latin American visual arts and increase awareness of regional fairs among collectors worldwide, with the strategic development of Liaisons.
EFG Bank, ArtNexus and LIAISONS organize for the tenth year the Acquisition Prize for a work by a Contemporary Latin American Artist, through a pre-selection process at Latin American art fairs; digital, this year. From this selection a winner will be chosen, whose work will be acquired by EFG Bank. (If any of the selected works is sold, the artist must commit to creating a similar one)
ArtNexus invites the participating galleries in Art Lima and PArC to nominate one or two contemporary artists. They must be presented on PDF, including images of the works presented at the fair and a short CV of the artist. The works must enter a price range of up to $15,000 dollars.
The nomination will be made in collaboration with curator José Roca together with Celia Sredni de Birbragher, editor and director of ArtNexus.
Being this an acquisition award, the selected artwork can become part of the EFG Bank collection, and will also be promoted on the ArtNexus, LIAISONS and EFG Bank networks, with its corresponding credit and the name of the gallery. ArtNexus.com will send a press release announcing the nomination, and there will also be an interview between one of the jurors and the nominated artist.
