VIDEO AND PHOTOGRAPHY CONTEST "IMAGES OF A NEW NORMALITY"
Argentina - The Bunge y Born Foundation announces a contest with the aim of valuing the role of artists and their perspective on the current context since the pandemic, the confinement and the reconfiguration of our lives, the new ways of connecting with each other, work, school, the value of solidarity and collaborative work. Application deadline May 14.
The call is open to all artists, photographers, creatives and students of related fields in the country whose age is between 18 and 35 years old (completed on December 31, 2020), Argentine, naturalized or foreigners with legal residence of ten years in Argentina. Group presentations will be accepted if all members of the group are in the aforementioned age range.
Works included within all expressions of photography and video will be admitted, whatever their technique or mode of presentation, which reflect problems of contemporary art in the current context. In both categories, a selection criterion will be chosen that values artistic and authorial practice and priority will be given to those works that show local and/or regional Argentine identities, traditions and customs. The finalist photographs and videos will be chosen taking into account, in addition, personal narratives, self-portraits, creativity and impact on the proposed message. The reception of works will be open until May 14 at 12 noon.
THE FOLLOWING PRIZES WILL BE AWARDED:
Photography:
• First Prize: $300,000 (three hundred thousand pesos).
• Second Prize: $200,000 (two hundred thousand pesos).
• Third Prize: $150,000 (one hundred and fifty thousand pesos).
• Honorable Mention: 3 (three) of $75,000 (seventy-five thousand pesos) and a four-class mentoring program with a national expert.
Video:
• First Prize: $300,000 (three hundred thousand pesos).
• Second Prize: $200,000 (two hundred thousand pesos).
• Third Prize: $150,000 (one hundred and fifty thousand pesos).
