Calling of Videoart for the International Film Festival in Cartagena, Colombia
The category of video-art of the Festival Internacional de Cine de Cartagena, in its fourth version, will unite with the 42 Salón Nacional de Artistas, and will receive the show 'Para Verte Mejor Cuerpo Pacífico', as an invited curatorial. This curatorial, which is mainly composed by videoart, will serve as a reference point and as starting point for the development of a workshop, whose products will compete in the video-art category at the 2011 Film Festival.
15 people, selected by call will participate in the workshop. The workshop will take place at the Centro de Formación de la Cooperación Española in Cartagena from February 17 to 24, 2011.
Artists, people who are studying art and other relevant careers, young creators, film makers, and emerging producers with experience working on videos and new media are eligible to participate.

Contest entries should be sent via e-mail with a subject line titled “contest entry for the 2011 videoart workshop”. Submissions will be accepted until Friday January 28th, 2011.
THERE IS NO PARTICIPATION FEE; PARTICIPANTS WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THEIR OWN TRANSPORTATION AND LODGING COSTS TO AND IN CARTAGENA.
The award ceremony will take place at the Premios India Catalina del 51 Festival Internacional de Cine de Cartagena de Indias on Thursday March 3, 2011.
