NEW DIRECTOR OF SÍSMICA (CHILE)
Sísmica brings together Chilean galleries and artists on a single platform.
The sectorial brand born in 2016 under the alliance between ProChile and the Association of Galleries of Contemporary Chilean Art (AGAC), presents its new director Pedro Comparini.
SÍSMICA is the sectoral brand of the Visual Arts industry in Chile. It brings together eleven art galleries and more than 200 artists in a platform for the dissemination of contemporary Chilean art that seeks to connect and unite its different agents, with the aim of disseminating the national scene in the world.
The first step in this new stage is the launch of a new digital multi platform that integrates editorial content and commercial strategies in order to promote the activities of the Chilean visual arts sector and make all its participants of the local art scene visible in a transversal way.
“Today Chile changed, and collaboration in the visual arts is here to stay. Chile deserves to raise the standard of its art, in every sense. And it is the task of all of us, united, to build this plan for the future." commented the new director in an interview in Sismica Chile that can be read here.
Among the SISMICA participating galleries are Animal, Aninat, Artespacio, Croxatto, Die Ecke, Espacio O, Espora, La Sala, Espora, La Sala, NAC and XS.
