MALBA AND GALLERY WEEKEND SANTIAGO - CONNECTING KEY SPACES OF LATIN AMERICAN ART

Connected with Latin America through art

This year, Gallery Weekend Santiago has a new challenge: to bring Chilean art to all of Latin America in a virtual way. The objective is to add content to the digital experience that has set the tone for the cultural events of 2020, and to sign an agreement with AGAC, the Association of Contemporary Art Galleries of Chile, and SÍSMICA, the brand sector of ProChile for the internationalization of Chilean visual arts.

One way to connect with galleries and museums in Latin America will be through online guided tours of important spaces such as the Museum of Latin American Art in Buenos Aires (MALBA) on November 15, the Jumex Museum in Mexico City on November 16, the Museum of Contemporary Art of Monterrey (MARCO) and the Gallery of Marcel Katz & The Art Plug in Miami on November 20, and Ca.Sa Collection in Santiago on November 21. Via a takeover on instagram, you can follow a tour made from each of these places via @galleryweekendsantiago.

This year Gallery Weekend will also present a digital exhibition by curator Daniela Berger, who selected the works of 30 national female artists: Bárbara Oettinger, Berta Iñiguez, Catalina Bauer, Cecilia Vicuña, Claudia Gutiérrez, Coco Caballero, Consuelo Walker, Dominique Serrano , Emma Malig, Francisca Montes, Grace Weinrub, Casino Hypermarket, Janet Toro, Juana Gómez, Loreto Carmona, María José Mir, María Luisa Murillo, Macarena Alvarado, Manuela Viera Gallo, Mariana Najmanovich, Nury González, Paloma Castillo, Patricia Domínguez, Patricia Israel, Patricia Vogel, Paula Zegers, Pilar Elgueta, Sandra Vásquez de la Horra and Virginia Guilisasti.

The catalog will be available at www.galleryweekend.cl and on various specialized international platforms.
