ARTE AL DÍA TRUE TO ITS COMMITMENT TO CONTEMPORANEITY

More interactive, modern and interdisciplinary, the magazine broadens its scope and adapts to the new demands of the artistic ecosystem. Integrating greater visibility to artists, galleries, writers, and cultural and academic institutions, the platform now includes eight sections, three of which are new.

ARTE AL DÍA TRUE TO ITS COMMITMENT TO CONTEMPORANEITY

Arte al Día Internacional is a medium specialized in Latin American art, with more than 40 years of history. Founded in 1980 in the city of Buenos Aires, Arte al Día has positioned itself as one of the most relevant sources of documentation in the artistic diffusion of Latin America in the world. Since then, it has played a fundamental role in promoting the work of all agents in the sector. In line with its international character, Arte al Día is fully bilingual, building bridges within the global artistic environment.

Throughout 41 years and with the sum of 150 printed editions, Arte al Día Internacional has built a unique archive of reviews, interviews, profiles and news that accounts for the exponential growth that Latin American artistic production and management have had in the last half century. The medium is currently based in Miami, Florida, and is made up of an international team of collaborators located in both America and Europe. This has led to a comprehensive coverage aimed at monitoring the cultural scene of Latin America and the Iberian Peninsula, both within and outside their territories.

SECTIONS

News- Updated daily and with the collaboration of correspondents in Europe and Latin America, we work to provide the most outstanding news and information regarding American art.

Reviews – With the aim to delve deeper into the content provided, curators, critics and researchers from different countries implement an analytical but no less poetic vision upon the most outstanding projects and exhibitions on the scene.

Opinion - With a more editorial nature, this section includes articles on controversies and events of an innovative and even philosophical disposition.

Interviews - We work with comprehensive coverage, publishing interviews and exchanges with the most important actors in culture as well as those emerging figures who set the course for the field.

Galleries - Reinforcing our commitment to one of the key links in the market and art scene in general, this special section is intended for the dissemination of exhibitions in galleries at an international level. Seeking to encourage the relationship between exhibitors and our readers and art lovers, the Galleries section aims to generate an international cultural agenda.

Residences - We want to promote artistic creation, in addition to disseminating it, and for this reason we are working on a completely interactive platform that serves as a guide for those artists, curators and researchers who seek to broaden their horizons and develop professionally in new environments.

Open Calls - This section covers calls for professional positions and competitions. The idea is to offer the community a platform that includes both new content and tools to meet the needs of the circuit and all its participants.

OpenFile - Presented in conjunction with Pinta, this section contains a series of short videos where the artists share the “behind the scenes” about their production, sharing details and anecdotes about the works.

Videos - In line with new realities and offering multiple and diverse content, we also publish audiovisual material.

ART FAIRS AND PROJECTS

With the aim of expanding the visibility of Latin American and Iberian artists, since 2004 the publishing group has developed a circuit of fairs that began with the first edition of BAphoto, the first specialized photography fair in Latin America, and in 2007 with Pinta New York and Pinta London. The integration of the fairs and Arte al Día has been fundamental to establish the group within the global scene. Currently, the BAphoto, PArC Perú Arte Contemporáneo and PINTA Miami fairs are held annually. In addition, we are organizing PINTA Basel 2022 (to be held during ArtWeek in Basel) and PINTA Sud (a series of activations in Paraguayan galleries with international artists, with the aim of highlighting the artistic production of Paraguay).
