Lisboa prepares for the first edition of ARCOlisboa
Organized by IFEMA, ARCOlisboa held its first edition from 26 to 29 May.
The Fabrica Nacional da Cordoaria, space which will host the fair, will become the stage to analyze and give visibility to the richness and diversity of the Portuguese art scene in an international context.
The fair will feature the participation of 44 galleries selected by the Organizing Committee, after an outstanding receipt of requests for participation, specially care quality and content.
ARCOlisboa will tour that starts in the s. XX and reaches the immediate present through works by artists such as Joaquin Torres Garcia Mario Merz; Dan Graham; Robert Barry; Julian Opie; Julião Sarmento; Joana Vasconcelos; Pedro Cabrita Reis; Juan Luis Moraza; Ignasi Aballí; Maria Loboda; Felipe Arturo or João Maria Gusmão + Pedro Paiva.
ARCOlisboa agenda will be very full day starting May 25 with the opening, exclusively, to the journalists, collectors and professionals at 5 pm, and a cocktail offered by Audemars Piguet at 8 pm. On Friday 27 the ARCOlisboa party will be held.
