PArC – PERU CONTEMPORARY ART- PRESENTS ITS 2020 CATALOGUE

Given the global scenario we’ve been going through, but without giving up on their commitment towards Latin American art, an online edition of PArC, Peru Arte Contemporáneo was carried out. Now, with the support of EFG Wealth Management, they present their catalogue

PArC – PERU CONTEMPORARY ART- PRESENTS ITS 2020 CATALOGUE

The online edition included a General Section, where the most relevant galleries of the Peruvian and Latin American scene presented the works of their artists; the Solo Project section, dedicated exclusively, under the curatorship of Florencia Battiti, to the promotion of four artists whose work is focused on contemporary art; and the NEXT section, curated by Florencia Portocarrero to make the work of prominent emerging artists visible and closer to the art market.

On top of having received more than 76.000 visits, PArC’s online edition also created an international platform for conversations with collectors, curators, gallery owners, artists, and museum directors. Via different media, PArC 2020 delved deep into Latin America’s market and museum situation during these Coronavirus-defined times.

Moreover, in PArC’s eighth edition, The first nomination for the annual acquisition EFG Latin America Art Award for was held in association with ArtNexus magazine. The nominated work is by Gonzalo Fuenmayor from the El Museo de Bogotá gallery and the jury was made up of José Roca, Curator and Artistic Director of FLORA ars + natura, together with Celia Sredni de Birbragher, Director and Editor of ArtNexus.
