JOSSELINE PINTO AND ARTE AL DÍA INTERNACIONAL: YES ART WRITERS GRANT

The independent jurors; Paola Ibarra, Tom Healy and Adriana Herrera selected the proposal "Precariousness, the future and cardboard artifacts: the vision of Simón Vega from the third world", by Josseline Pinto. The article will be printed in the autumn edition of Art International Day.

JOSSELINE PINTO AND ARTE AL DÍA INTERNACIONAL: YES ART WRITERS GRANT

Josseline Pinto, curator, researcher and independent poet. She is co-founder and director of MANIFESTO-espacio, a project of experimental exhibitions, workshops, research and production of contemporary art. She is currently the curatorial assistant of the educational program at Museo Arte Guatemala, and traveled to El Salvador as part of a program of the YES Art 2018.  

In adittion, YES is organizing a free 3-day symposium that explores: Unpacking of curatorial practice. The objective of the symposium is to decipher and contextualize the curatorial practice within a museum, public art and the environment of its own initiative, both inside and outside of El Salvador.

The participants include characters such as the historian Jorge Palomo; the curator, researcher and poet Josseline Pinto; artist, X Central American Biennial and guest curator of the MARTE Museum, Simón Vega, assistant director of the Luis Poma Theater Alejandro Córdova, founder of YES Mario Cader-Frech, director and curator of YES Claire Breukel, artist and assistant of YES Patricio Majano, among others .
