ARCO, A SOCIETY COMMITTED TO CONTEMPORARY AND LATIN AMERICAN ART

On June 9th and 10th,  ARCO Fundation Organizing Committee constituted by José Aloy, Polígrafa Obra Gráfica; Look Bernabeu, Espaivisor; Vera Cortês, Vera Cortês; Susie Guzmán, Hauser & Wirth; Pedro Maisterra, Maisterravalbuena; Alex Mor, Mor.Charpentier; Silvia Ortiz, Crossing Four; Thomas Schulte, Thomas Schulte; Leon Tovar, Leon Tovar and Eduardo Brandão, Vermelho-, met with the objective of preparing the final list of the galleries selected for the General Program of ARCOmadrid 2019. According to the members of the committee, among the selection criteria for the galleries are the fidelity, the quality of the proposed projects and a significant presence of Latin America. All this at the service of discovering and research, concepts under which ARCOmadrid manifests itself.

In addition, from a press release, ARCO explained that it will launch an international promotion in São Paulo in simultaneous with the Biennial of Art held in that city.

The main features of ARCOmadrid and ARCOlisboa were presented at an event aimed at galleries, collectors and other contemporary art professionals. In this way, a special moment of exchange will arise between ARCO and professionals, collectors and people interested in visiting the fairs and obtain an in-depth knowledge of the participating galleries.

Finally, Fundación ARCO will once again participate in the launching of the artistic season in Madrid, Valencia and Barcelona during the month of September and October through ARCO GalleryWalk: tours that consist of guided visits to the art galleries of these cities.
