PArC 2018 is already opened

Peru Arte Contemporáneo, the international art fair, inaugurated its sixth edition with 50 galleries simultaneously.

 PArC 2018 is already opened

If there is an art fair that brings together both the historical avant-garde and emerging art in the same space, that is PArC: 50 galleries from Spain, France, USA, Cuba, Mexico, Argentina, Brazil, Bolivia, Uruguay, Colombia, Ecuador, Chile, Venezuela and Peru attend the MAC facilities in Barranco for the sixth edition of Peru Arte Contemporáneo.

In the middle of a great interdisciplinary program that combines art, photography, conferences, video projections and installations, we highlight two new sections: NEXT and the PATIO DE ESCULTURAS, which presents five artists whose work addresses the relationships between outer and inner space in disciplines ranging from architecture and construction to audiovisuals and transportation.
The NEXT section, for its part, is committed to the work of the most promising emerging artists in the region. Thus, the galleries ABRA (Caracas), Crisis (Lima), Espacio El Dorado (Bogota), + Arte (Quito), Piedras (Buenos Aires) and Y Gallery (New York) open their doors for experimentation, risk and generation of alternative circuits. Thus, NEXT is a great platform that makes the most recent proposals visible: it highlights the Latin American art scene and discovers the new talents of the region. Not in vain the curatorial work rests on the young studious Florencia Portocarrero.
To encourage its opening, the sponsor Paraiso awarded the best presented gallery, ABRA de Caracas, granting him a space in Pinta Miami. Thus we promote the emergence of talents that aim to inescapably reference the Peruvian artistic revolution and enrich a cultural heritage that goes beyond historical heritage.
PArC inaugurated its sixth edition with the aim of continuing to contribute to the development of the artistic field and position Peru as one of the most important destinations in Latin American art.
