BAphoto 2018 is the fourteenth edition of a fair that has been growing progressively for years. This year, the call has national and international galleries: Rolf Art, Dina Mitrani Gallery (Miami), Aldo de Sousa, El Mirador, Vasari and The White Lodge are just some of the more than 40 galleries that participate.

In the framework of Basel Cities Buenos Aires, the fair occupies a strategic place for the promotion and market of classical, modern and contemporary photography, both nationally and internationally. Such is the case, that the Argentine collector Jorge Pérez, bought this morning a work by Lila Siegrist in the Gabelich Contemporaneo space.

As in the last three editions, BAphoto has taken the stands of the La Rural fairground (Buenos Aires, Argentina) to assemble the galleries' stands. In view of its 15th anniversary next year, the fair confirms once again the ability to bring together the most outstanding talent from the Latin American art scene.

With an eclectic program and a team of first-class curators - Ana Luiza Fonseca, Alfredo Aracil, Francisco Medail, Florencia Puertocarrero, Mercedes Claus and Rodrigo Alonso - this new edition is made up of eight sections with photographers for all tastes. Among the most recognized artists are Erica Bohm, Aldo Sessa, Marcelo Brodsky, Pepe Fernandez, Oscar Bony, Edi Hirose, Marta Minujín, Santiago Porter and Andrés Denegri.

Inside Dr. Emilio Solanet pavilion at La Rural Fairground of Buenos Aires BAphoto opens its doors again until Sunday 9 September until 9pm.
