The new Sammer Gallery New York

On May 27, Sammer Gallery New York opened its doors with a solo exhibition, Wheels and Cylinders, of the renowned Uruguayan artist Ricardo Pascale.

Representative of his country at the XLVIII Venice Biennale in 1999 and founder of Pedro Figari Award in Visual Arts from Uruguay, Pascale is known for its unique background both in the field of the arts and the economy. After passing through an extensive variety of techniques, the Uruguayan artist focused his production in the sculpture. His works can be found in private collections, museums in Latin America and Europe and public spaces, like the nice piece placed in front of UN's headquarter in New York

Located in the Lower East Side, the Sammer Gallery is dedicated to the promotion of the work of some of the paradigmatic figures of the most important Geometric Art Movements from Latin America, such as Alfredo Hlito, Enio Iommi, Joaquín Torres García, Luis Tomasello Jesus Rafael Soto and Ricardo Pascale. The Sammer Gallery, which already has a long career at its headquarters in Miami, has published over twenty catalogues and several artist books. They have also participated in over twenty art fairs in the following cities: Buenos Aires, Lima , New York, Houston, Palm Beach, Miami and London.
