"Although Patrick is now moving on, the bonds between him and Museo Jumex are indissoluble," Eugenio López Alonso, founder of the Colección Jumex, stated on a press release. “I am certain we will have the opportunity to collaborate with him in the future."

Venezuelan-born González was recently appointed adjunct curator of modern and contemporary art at the Museu de Arte de São Paulo, and was previously senior curator at the Museo Rufino Tamayo in Mexico City and adjunct curator at the Bronx Museum of the Arts in New York City. From 2009 through 2012 she was associate curator of Latin American art at Tate Modern, London.

“Julieta González is widely admired as one of the most knowledgeable and insightful authorities on the contemporary art scene, and on Latin American art," stated López Alonso. “Respected by artists and her fellow professionals alike, she will bring extraordinary vigor and intelligence to Museo Jumex".
